Xavier Ferguson

Xavier Ferguson is the founder and CEO of Consenda AG. Leveraging a unique perspective at the intersection of traditional media and technology, the theme of his work is the development of online content platforms that drive user engagement, increase loyalty, and expand advertising revenues.  His 16 years of industry experience includes time in both the Europe and the US collaborating with the online divisions of news media groups, including the Los Angeles Times, the Guardian of London, Yahoo/Overture, and 20Minuten.

Having relocated to Switzerland in 2002, Xavier founded Consenda AG in 2007 to develop an allmedia platform specifically designed for local and regional newspapers. In collaboration with Publicitas and Samsung, the company has launched LocalPoint, an allmedia content distribution system that seamlessly brings together print with web, out-of-home TV, mobile, tablet computing, and social media. LocalPoint enables smaller publishing houses to establish themselves online, and transition their print business models into the digital future with a long term technology plan and meaningful revenue streams.

Xavier grew up in the UK before spending 11 years in the US following the completion of his BSc in Business Administration at American Univeristy in Washington DC. He speaks French and German in addition to his native English.
